White female Muscovy ducklings are a domesticated color line of Cairina moschata, bred for their pure white plumage and calm, friendly nature. Females grow to about 6-7 pounds with lighter facial caruncles and a tidy, refined build, making them elegant additions to any backyard flock. Unlike quacking mallard-type ducks, Muscovies communicate with soft trills, coos, and hisses—pleasantly quiet around the homestead.

Female Muscovies typically begin laying eggs at approximately 25 weeks of age, or around six months old. They will continue to lay eggs for about 3 years or even longer if they’re fed the right diet. To ensure that you get quality Muscovy eggs and ducklings, make sure to feed your ducks a good diet.

Domestic Female Muscovy Ducks usually have yellow legs, pink bills, and pale eyes. The female Muscovy duck’s tail is more pointed than that of a male.

I ordered 19 ducks and they sent 20 (one free) on 23Sep2024 but the incompetent USPS didn’t deliver them until five days later on 28Sep2024 and only 5 ducks lived. Sherlock Acres will send me about 15 replacements free (due 10Oct2024), thanks. That is outstanding service! The 5 live ones are fantastic and have grown strong & healthy chasing bugs, eating cut grass clippings & store feed, I will order some Pekings and Silver Appleyards from them this Spring.

I was skeptical that my six female Muscovies would survive a flight from Pennsylvania to San Diego, but I was surprised to see seven arrive as healthy as can be. They survived the 2,400 mile flight. I didn’t even have that much success last year when I ordered from a hatchery in my own state and even then I ended up with mostly drakes from the straight run. Thank you so much for offering sexed Muscovies and for the extra one shipped with my order!
