White Straight Run Muscovy Ducklings

$9.30

White Muscovy ducklings are quiet, easy-care, dual-purpose birds for eggs and meat. With bright white plumage and red facial caruncles, they’re calmer than Mallard-derived breeds, making them ideal for suburban homesteads and farms.

  • Dual-purpose: 100-150 eggs/year and prized lean, beef-like meat.
  • Strong brooding instincts; hens are excellent, reliable mothers.
  • Perching/roosting behavior: hens fly better than heavy drakes.

Please note: All of our straight-run orders are filled first from a true straight-run mix before separating males and females for other orders. We cannot guarantee a specific number of each gender.

Our straight-run Muscovy ducklings are domesticated and raised at our hatchery. With the Straight run option, it isn’t specified what gender of Muscovy duckling you are going to get. Our straight runs are a selection from the general hatch of ducklings, before we separate out any males or females.

Temperament & Behavior

  • Calm but independent; enjoys perching and will roost on low branches or rafters
  • Hens fly better than heavy drakes; consider clipping one wing or using enclosed runs if containment is needed

Eggs & Meat

  • Eggs: 100–150 per year from well-kept hens, with strong brooding instincts—excellent mothers that reliably hatch their own clutches
  • Meat: Lean, beef-like flavor with less greasiness than many ducks; fast growth and white plumage make for cleaner-looking processing
